Two registers, both useful.
Viraj Bahri is the modern voice of Hindi romance, Berklee-trained, Delhi-based, writing in the lineage of Bollywood's most emotionally articulate tradition. He grew up in a joint family in Delhi where his mother was classically trained and his father played guitar; music lived gently in the background before passion turned into profession. After schooling in India, he earned admission to Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied Music Production & Sound Engineering, along with Entrepreneurship. At Berklee he became part of the Berklee Indian Ensemble, whose album Shuruaat was nominated for a Grammy, and went on to release original work with leading Indian labels including Saregama and Sony Music India. He returned to India to be closer to the audience he was writing for. The 2026 catalogue is originals and reinterpretations of the songs that shaped his taste, after Jagjit Singh, Lucky Ali, KK, and Mohit Chauhan. Recorded across Boston, LA, and Delhi. Viraj also built The Aangan, an intimate concert of modern Hindi romance. Edition one was held on 8 August 2026 in Delhi, for 100 guests, by invitation.
