Wherever you listen.
A note from the studio.
I wouldn't have arrived here without my friends. When I sit with that thought, the song that comes back is Yaaron Dosti. It says what a friend's promise sounds like in plain words: in joy and in grief, I'll be here.
This song is the one most of us reach for when we think of friendship. For the friends who held the years I'm now writing about.

The words.
Verse 1
Yaaron, dosti badi hi haseen hai
Yeh na ho toh kya phir bolo yeh zindagi hai?
Koyi toh ho raazdaar
Be-gharaz tera ho yaar
Koyi toh ho raazdaar
Yeh na ho toh kya phir bolo yeh zindagi hai?
Koyi toh ho raazdaar
Be-gharaz tera ho yaar
Koyi toh ho raazdaar
Bridge
Teri har ek buraayi pe daante woh dost
Gham ki ho dhoop toh saaya bane tera woh dost
Naache bhi woh teri khushi mein
Gham ki ho dhoop toh saaya bane tera woh dost
Naache bhi woh teri khushi mein
